Lori Noyes & Derrit Daigle
My name is Lori and along with my husband Derrit, we are from Qualicare Calgary. We’re a husband and wife team who both had independent careers – Derrit has a business background while mine is in healthcare. Starting this company here in Calgary marries our skills and our passions to serve our community.
I’m a registered nurse, and the reason I got into nursing in the first place is my mom, when I was 15 years old, passed away from cancer and we looked after her. I was a caregiver to my mother and I had decided that I wanted to go into health, so I became a registered nurse and then started working in home care. I loved home care and I loved the ability to provide care in the homes and to keep people in home and age in place. That is really what prompted me to get into home care as well as Qualicare Calgary because it was a way to give back to the community.
What Sets Us Apart
At Qualicare Calgary, we strive to provide whatever it takes to make your life better. Some of those services are personal care, medication management, some homemaking, respite. And we also built a team. We built a team that we partner with a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist and other services that we provide. We also do in-home registered nurse assessments and we provide palliative care and wound management, post-op care. So we have a wide range of services to provide people in their homes.
I do an in-home consultation with you and I really look at what kind of services that you need and we develop a personalized care plan from there, and at that point we kind of discuss the services that we could provide that would help you in your home.
