Some tips to help manage our minds
- Limit the amount of information you consume. Set 1-2 times a day to be in the know, but only to get a status update and/or important information to be informed.
- Focus on the things you can control to take care of you, your loved ones and the community.
- Apply social distancing
- Sanitize services
- Wash your hands often
- Don’t touch your face
- Cover your mouth when you cough and your nose when you sneeze
- Avoid touching your face whenever possible
- Leave the face masks for medical professionals, caregivers and people with compromised immune systems
- Avoid nonessential travel
- Keep your immune system (see headline below for tips)
- Keep yourself occupied
- Solve a puzzle or play a board game with your family
- Draw, paint, knit or do something else creative
- Try to bake a masterpiece dessert with ingredients you already have in your kitchen
- Read your favorite novel or watch your favorite movie
- Take a nap
- Call or video someone you love and talk about things other than the coronavirus

We need our immune systems like never before! Some general tips to help boost your immune system:
- Increase consumption of fruits and vegetables, including citrus fruits and leafy greens
- Avoid sugar-laden foods
- Ensure you get 30-60 minutes of exercise each day
- Minimize your stress level and get adequate sleep
Ways to Stay Connected with your family through Social Distancing:
- Use technology – FaceTime, Whatsapp Video, Google Hangouts, Facebook Portal to visit with your loved ones virtually
- Keep your kids busy and your parents entertained – present a play on the front lawn of grandma & grandpa’s house – they can watch through the window
- Talk on the phone instead of texting to connect with family.
