Meet The Owner
Cory Ernst
I’m Cory Ernst, owner of Qualicare Scottsdale, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help provide care in the lives of so many Arizona seniors. My journey to home care began about four years ago when my mom, who had been caregiving for my stepdad, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Suddenly, my siblings and I had to become caregivers ourselves, balancing personal lives and work while helping our mom through six months of chemotherapy.
At the same time, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer, and my wife faced her own caregiving challenges. We were fortunate to have support during these difficult times, but we realized many families don’t have the same resources to navigate such challenging situations. When the opportunity came to own Qualicare Scottsdale, it made perfect sense – we had lived the experience and understood firsthand how difficult it can be.
What Sets Us Apart
At Qualicare Scottsdale, we provide non-medical home care ranging from assistance with daily activities to companionship and personal care throughout the Scottsdale and Phoenix area. What makes our approach unique is our comprehensive initial consultation. I personally visit each home along with our nurse to assess safety and develop a specific care plan based on both client needs and family wishes. This free consultation helps families understand the level of care we’ll provide and confirms whether staying at home is the right choice for their loved ones.
After spending 20 years in the corporate world focused solely on maximizing profits, owning Qualicare gives me a completely different sense of worth and accomplishment. There’s nothing quite like seeing the difference we make in families’ lives across Phoenix and Scottsdale.
