I have a giant family, and I recognize that we all came together to help our family—but not everybody has that. I remember sitting through chemo treatments and hearing people on the other side of the curtain not having somebody to say, “What does this test mean? What can we do with this?” So my passion for helping families through these moments has just kind of grown from there.

I think not being a nurse myself, personally, what I bring is that I’ve lived it on both the caregiving side and the family side, as well as a patient myself. That perspective shapes how we serve families at Qualicare Kansas City.

We can provide a wide variety of different services, anywhere from the personal care that someone may need—whether that’s bathing, hygiene, or even if it’s just hair and nails and makeup or a day of beauty, or grooming and shaving and things like that.

Other than that, we can get further and deeper into case management. We can take someone and accompany them to the doctor’s appointment. We can advocate for them and help them get that care that they need.

It’s really a custom fit, and no two homes are the same. So we try to follow what is already working and become a more functional part of your routine, filling in the gaps where you’re struggling most.
