What inspired you to become a Qualicare franchise owner, and what do you enjoy most about helping families in your local community?
As a Registered Nurse, I’ve always had a passion for compassionate, personalized care – not just for patients, but for their families as well. I was inspired to become a Qualicare franchise owner because of the unique, holistic model it offers. It’s not just about providing care, it’s about truly supporting families through some of the most complex and emotional times in their lives. I had seen many of the limitations in our healthcare system firsthand, and I knew there had to be a better way to support people. Owning a Qualicare franchise gave me the opportunity to bridge those gaps and make a meaningful difference.
What I enjoy most is seeing the positive impact we have on the entire family. Whether it’s giving someone peace of mind that their loved one is safe and cared for, or helping them navigate a difficult healthcare journey, it’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of making their lives less stressful and more hopeful.
Can you share a little about your background and how your professional or personal experiences have prepared you to support families?
My background is in nursing, and over the years I’ve worked closely with patients and families facing everything from chronic illnesses to complex recoveries. This hands-on experience has given me not only strong clinical skills, but also a deep understanding of what families go through emotionally and logistically when caring for a loved one.
On a personal level, I’ve seen the challenges that arise when a family member needs support, and the stress, the uncertainty, and the emotional toll it can take. These experiences have shaped how I approach care at Qualicare. I focus on empathy, clear communication, and truly listening to what each family needs. My goal is always to guide them with both knowledge and heart.
What makes you most proud about your involvement with Qualicare?
I’m most proud of the difference we make in people’s lives every single day. It’s not just about providing home care, but about giving families peace of mind, dignity, and support during some of their most vulnerable moments.
I’m also incredibly proud of the compassionate team we’ve built here in Edmonton South. We’ve created a culture based on trust, respect, and a genuine desire to help others. The feedback we get from families — their relief, their gratitude — reminds me every day why this work matters.
Can you share a little about your background and how your professional or personal experiences have prepared you to support families?
At Qualicare Edmonton South, we go beyond basic caregiving. Our 360° Approach to Care means we look at the whole picture of the client’s medical needs, emotional well-being, family dynamics, and overall support system. We create personalized care plans that address all of these aspects, and our RN-managed care ensures every plan is clinically sound and adaptable as needs change.
