“I had such a wonderful experience with Qualicare. My parents had just moved to Toronto to move into a retirement home when my mother ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. I needed to have care in place for when she got out of the hospital and moved into the home. When I spoke to Beth about my mother’s condition and my concerns, she made me feel very comfortable about what would happen. She reassured me that she would find the best care to suit my mother’s needs. After I spoke to Beth, I felt much better about my mother moving into the retirement home in her frail condition. We had a wonderful PSW with my mom for the first two days after she was discharged from the hospital. She went right in and took care of my mom as if she had known her for years. She knew exactly how to help my mother with her needs. The next two days, we had another caregiver who was amazing as well. She also arrived and made my mom (and my dad) feel at ease. She spent time doing exercises with my mom, talking to her and helping her eat. I felt completely comfortable with the care she was receiving. It felt like she was part of the family. Throughout this ordeal, Qualicare kept in contact with me and updated me with reports from the caregivers. This made me and my family so relieved to know that my mother was receiving the care she needed. I really truly believe that my mother improved so much in those first four days after being discharged from the hospital because of the care received from Qualicare. “Four years ago, Lynda suffered two brain aneurysms, had progressed extremely well, but was bored, had hit a plateau, was frustrated and felt isolated. Fortunately, I contacted you for help. You assessed the situation and coordinated an excellent team of occupational, physical and speech therapists with a back up trained personal support worker. This strategy has provided continuity of care with communication between the separate disciplines covering all necessary motivation and action.
