If we use Qualicare private homecare services will this affect our eligibility
\nfor government funded CCAC homecare services?<\/h3>\n

Not at all! In fact, our Nurse Case Managers can help you access government
\nservices from different appropriate agencies so that you maximize your
\neligible resources. In the best scenario, youll receive your eligible
\namount of CCAC care and then we will supplement the services where required.
\nThis gives you the comfort and confidence that you are receiving adequate
\ncare while minimizing your costs.

Does my private health insurance cover Qualicare services?<\/h3>\n

Every insurance plan has unique features and benefits. Many employer-provided
\nExtended Health Benefit Plans include coverage for private nursing, homemaker
\nor personal support services. Ask your benefits administrator or insurance
\ncompany about your entitlements.<\/p>\n

In most cases you will hire us and then submit your receipts for reimbursement
\nfrom your insurer, just like you do with prescriptions. In special cases,
\nwe can be authorized to deal directly with the insurance company. We ensure
\nthat all documents and invoices meet your insurance companys requirements
\nto minimize red tape and time.<\/p>\n

Can Qualicare help with homecare after an automobile injury?<\/h3>\n

We are very familiar with Ontario (SABS) Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule
\nand we are a registered service provider with (HCAI) Health Claims for
\nAuto Insurance. Every accident insurance claim is unique. We coordinate
\nservices with all parties including you, your lawyer, case manager (OT)
\nand the insurance company.<\/p>\n

Our goal to provide the best quality of eligible care within the limits
\nor your policy or claim while meeting all of the insurers documentation
\nand reporting requirements.<\/p>\n

What is the difference between Live in homecare and Hourly Care?<\/h3>\n

Live in care is a great solution for a senior or senior couple requiring
\nregular assistance with homemaking, mobility assistance, safety monitoring
\nand companionship. Live in caregivers must be provided their own sleeping
\nquarters and washroom and typically eat their meals from the household
\ngroceries.<\/p>\n

Live in caregivers are usually not the appropriate solution for people
\nwith serious medical issues that require constant or regular care over
\na 24 hour period and throughout the night.<\/p>\n

Hourly caregivers attend on a regular schedule (day or night) and have
\na schedule of duties to perform. Hourly caregivers will perform a variety
\nof duties according to a care plan that could include delegated tasks
\nregarding medications, assistance with personal hygiene, household chores
\nor homemaking, meal preparation and even assistance with transportation.<\/p>\n

A Qualicare Case Management Nurse can help you decide what type of assistance
\nis most appropriate for your needs. This assessment is alway free of charge.<\/p>\n

Can Qualicare deliver services in a hospital?<\/h3>\n

We care for our clients wherever they are including hospitals, home, or
\nretirement communities. We have wonderful relationships with hospitals
\nand retirement homes. Hospital staff are always open an honest about the
\nlimitations of their service. They appreciate the fact that you have arranged
\nprofessional care for services that reach beyond the scope of their resources.<\/p>\n

If your loved one is hospitalized, ask the hospital staff for a Qualicare
\nbrochure or for their opinion about in hospital care.

What types of caregivers are available for our home?<\/h3>\n

Qualicares provides qualified professional staff with the appropriate
\nqualifications and certification. We also match previous experience and
\nskills for each case assignment.<\/p>\n

Qualicares professional services are provided by certified Personal
\nSupport Workers (PSWs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Practical
\nNurses (RPNs), Physiotherapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs) and
\nSocial Workers.<\/p>\n

We also take the extra time to match personalities that fit. Our goal is
\nto provide a care team that you like and trust and to try to keep the
\nsame care team in place throughout the duration of your requirement.<\/p>\n
