My journey to home care began about four years ago when my mom, who had been caregiving for my stepdad, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin&#8217;s lymphoma. Suddenly, my siblings and I had to become caregivers ourselves, balancing personal lives and work while helping our mom through six months of chemotherapy.\n<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer, and my wife faced her own caregiving challenges. We were fortunate to have support during these difficult times, but we realized many families don&#8217;t have the same resources to navigate such challenging situations. I personally visit each home along with our nurse to assess safety and develop a specific care plan based on both client needs and family wishes. This free consultation helps families understand the level of care we&#8217;ll provide and confirms whether staying at home is the right choice for their loved ones.<\/p>\n<p>After spending 20 years in the corporate world focused solely on maximizing profits, owning Qualicare gives me a completely different sense of worth and accomplishment.
