{"id":27,"date":"2019-12-19T15:00:35","date_gmt":"2019-12-19T15:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/qualicare.com\/burlington-on\/burlington-on\/anger-aggression\/"},"modified":"2021-09-30T12:48:00","modified_gmt":"2021-09-30T12:48:00","slug":"anger-aggression","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/qualicare.com\/burlington-on\/anger-aggression\/","title":{"rendered":"Burlington &#8211; ANGER &#038; AGGRESSION"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CAUSES OF ANGER<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Long wait for help<\/li><li>Receiving bad or unexpected news<\/li><li>Client may feel they have no options<\/li><li>Dashed expectations<\/li><li>Loss of control; people in powerful positions finding themselves dependent<\/li><li>Personality disorder, substance abuse, alcohol intoxication, and withdrawal\n         or anxiety<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>WARNING BELLS: RECOGNIZE THEM BEFORE THINGS GET OUT OF CONTROL<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Voice &#8211; suddenly slow, soft or loud, boisterous, and abusive<\/li><li>Face &#8211; loss of eye contact; frowning; red face and red eyes<\/li><li>Physical &#8211; coming too close; sudden threatening movements in upper limbs<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DO\u2026<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Keep a safe distance\u2014neither too close nor too far<\/li><li>Stay cool, calm, and composed<\/li><li>Correctly acknowledge the emotion that the client is projecting.
